HOW IT WORKS

Home affordability basics

How is the affordable home price estimated?

The analyzer limits the monthly housing budget using the selected housing and total-debt ratios. It subtracts property tax, insurance and HOA, then converts the remaining principal-and-interest budget into an estimated mortgage amount.

Why include existing monthly debts?

Existing debt payments use part of the total monthly debt budget and can reduce the amount available for housing.

Does this guarantee mortgage approval?

No. This is a planning estimate, not underwriting, lending, tax or financial advice.
